  2. “OVER- CONSUMPTION MYTH” “Families have spent too much money, buying things they do not need but only on certain items.” 21% less on clothing 22% less on food 44% less on appliances People are struggling just for the necessities!

  3. So WHERE is the money going?? The is the most important purchase HOME LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION Good Schools Textbooks, Computers Safe neighborhood No drugs or violence A place where children belong $$$$ Homes in areas with decent schools demand more

  4. 97% believe a degree is important ! TUITION HAS DOUBLED in less than 25 years !! *Twice as fast as professor salaries *3x faster than the cost of food *8x faster than the cost of electricity Because THEY can! Due to demand of students wanting degrees, colleges claim it is due to administrative costs, better food, better sports programs, but the reality is … IT IS BECAUSE THEY CAN, as students will find a way to pay for it. WHY ???

  5. IN CONCLUSION..... I believe the authors are trying to point out the following: WE need to live within our means.... even if this means living in a more cost-efficient neighborhood. Just because Mom is working, doesn’t mean we can have it all. WE need to push for education options. Vouchers to attend the school that children want to attend, pre-school included in our tax dollars, and colleges that agree to implement a tuition freeze WE need to be ready for financial emergencies. Emergencies happen; therefore, we must be ready for those times with the proper insurance, savings, and backup plans so that we are not overwhelmed when they do occur.
