  1. India's healthcare system is in trouble for a few reasons For a long time, India’s healthcare system has struggled with a variety of problems, improve healthcare system including a lack of institutions and insufficient human resources. According to the Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS), district and sub-district hospitals provide secondary care, while sub-centres, primary health centres, and community health centres provide primary healthcare to rural residents. On the other hand, super speciality hospitals or regional/central level institutions provide tertiary care. While it is vital to concentrate on all three levels of healthcare - primary, secondary, and tertiary—the government must prioritise strengthening basic healthcare as a public good.z

  2. Lack of skilled and productive labour The significant lack of qualified personnel in the medical stream, including physicians, nurses, paramedics, and basic healthcare workers, continues to be one of India's most serious concerns. Nearly 66% of India's population lives in rural regions, where the situation is still concerning. .

  3. Inadequate infrastructure For a long time, India has struggled with inadequate infrastructure in the form of a dearth of modern medical facilities. In addition, these medical teaching or training facilities are still being built at a slower pace than necessary.

  4. Excessive patient load Healthcare institutions have been under stress because of an excessive patient load even before the Covid-19 epidemic broke out. Managing healthcare facilities effectively for a population of 1.4 billion people is a Herculean challenge in and of itself. In order to maintain a smooth patient flow, healthcare institutions must utilise technology wherever it may be used to simplify operational and clinical operations.
