  5. What Is CI? • Spontaneous Problems • Verbal • Hands-on • Hands-on/Verbal • Long-term problems

  6. Club d’Invention in Togo • Initiative in PC Togo began with Maritime preparation and execution of Regional competition • National competition planned for Kara next year

  7. And you don’t even need to have a team to implement CI?! • Formal and informal elements to OM • Encourage Volunteers to integrate OM activities in their projects • Students and apprentices alike • Goal is to integrate OM into PC programming in the future (is perfect for GEE/EGE Volunteers!) • OM the Project vs. OM the Philosophy

  8. CI Teams • Strong counterpart as co-coach • CEG students (5-7). Mix of boys and girls. • Meetings- begin with warm-up exercises (theatre games) and then a couple of spontaneous problems before working on long-term problem. • Ensure that ALL team members are actively participating!

  9. Future of CI in Togo • Get the Ministry of Education on-board • GEE/EGE Volunteers work with teachers and school officials to incorporate the OM pedagogy into the education system • Train Togolese counterparts as coaches and judges • Heavily promote OM nationally • More competitions! (Maybe even participation in the Global Competition!)
