  2. Community Demographics Meeting the need Statistics were gathered from Proximity.com.Proximity also uses information from the U.S. Census.Community will benefit from added cultural experiences through different genres of music due to lack of diversity.

  3. WHO and WHEN Caregivers are required for all sessions. Walkers – 2 years 3-5 years old • 9:30-10:15 a.m. • Lower motor skills • Smaller attention spans • More repetition • 10:30-11:15 a.m. • Improving motor skills and rhythm • Increased attention spans • More adaptable Sessions should be about fun and less instructional.

Opening Expect different arrival times Have materials available on tables.(Crayons, markers, etc.) • Theme related color sheets or small hands-on activity • Greet and talk about how activity relates to today’s theme. Feature Activity Moves related to today’s theme Example Theme: Line Dancing • Practice doing different things in a line such as jumping, hopping, marching • Play a game of follow the leader walking different ways while staying in a line. • Walk across room holding hands in a line. “Google”dance moves for kids

Instrument Time Bring out bin of instruments; children’s choice • Have children practice keeping the instruments quiet, then being loud, then soft, & loud again. • Allow children to trade instruments and repeat. • Have children spread out in a circle and get ready to play instruments in a marching parade to the theme song.   13. Theme Suggestions Themes can be seasonal or genre related Other ideas include Disney Songs, TV songs, Movie Soundtracks, Kids Bop, square dancing and whatever beat you can imagine. Possibilities are endless!
