EMMA October shutdown work ALICE Accelerator Hall Work Pre- October shutdown • Electrical work to remove signs and cable from the column of shield blocks at labyrinth PA1 • Clear Area 2 EMMA area ready for shutdown work October shutdown • Dismantle of the column of blocks at PA 1 • Installation of a Pb walls around ALICE arc 1 (bring forward if possible. Components available in Aug 4) • Dismantle of the concrete shield wall at arc 1 • Removal of the blocks out of the ALICE accelerator hall • Diamond drilling of holes in the ALICE shield wall for the EMMA electrical cable route to the EMMA rack room • Floor drilling and target bonding to extend the survey network in Area 2 • Clean floor area and paint floor • Construction of a labyrinth for item 5 (outside of the accelerator hall) Work outside of the Accelerator Hall • Modification to the power supply enclosure fence - September • New concrete support plinth for the labyrinth and EMMA rack room – September • Re-locate radiation monitor – October shutdown • Erection of the EMMA rack room
