Projects • Computer based training programs that combine audio, video, and graphics can be used in education • Journalists can use multimedia to bring news to a variety of audiences • Software engineers uses multimedia to create simulations that can be used for military training • Doctors can use multimedia for viewing virtual surgeries or to simulate how disease can affect the human body

Your Assignment… • In groups of 6, research different types of Presentation, Desktop Publishing, Graphics, Web Design, Digital Video, and Digital Photography software programs (each member selects one type) • Each member will research different products in their specific type • Using an Excel Spreadsheet-create a list of features for three products including price and system requirements • Each member will present their finding to their group

Your Assignment… • As a group, rate each product from best to worst • consider such factors as the cost as well as the number of features, the types of files that can be created, whether additional hardware would need to be purchased to use the program, and whether the program is easily available in stores or on the Internet • Each group should create an Excel Spreadsheet of the top products in each of the 6 categories • Each group will use Publisher to create a tri-fold brochure of their research findings
