  3. Idea: • Discrimination cases • First Response • Support, advocacy, mediation • Validation, reporting, documenting incidents • Workshops, info sessions, presentations, diversity cafes • Community driven through partnerships i.e.) LRPS • Confidentiality/Follow Up • Referrals

  4. Demographics • Lethbridge is home to approx 85,000 citizens • KAINAI/PIIKANI Reserve • Movement from rural to urban • Perception • Discrimination prevalent • Covert discrimination (NIMBY) • CMARD Racism/discrimination action plan • Attitudes changing

Community Partnerships • Community Driven Program • Why Diversity Program? • Community Partnerships • Update meetings • Lethbridge Aboriginal Community Action Plan • PANGAEA Diversity Café • CMARD • LRPS Diversity Resource Unit • Community Events (I.E – NAD, Hate Crimes BBQ, Urban Aboriginal Awards)
