Cades Cove This picture was taken with natural lighting. The main focus in this picture is the road, it draws your eye to the end of it or what it leads to. The photographer used rule of thirds. The photograph was taken at almost a slight side angle. I chose this picture because it reminds me of when I used to live on a farm with my dad and there were a lot of grass fields and trees around. It looks very peaceful.
American elms at winter twilight The photographer used natural lighting to take this photo. He used selective focus. The main focus in this photograph is the large tree at right. I chose this picture because I really liked the bright colors in the sky and how much the tree stands out with the colorful sky. I also like how the camera is angled upward to make the tree seem larger and more powerful.
Little Pigeon River This picture has natural lighting. What I think the main focus in this picture is, is the little waterfalls. I chose this picture because it was a good example of slow shutter speed and I really liked all the colors and textures. The photo was taken at an angle which makes the water seem fierce but also innocent at the same time.
Lesser flamingo This picture was taken in natural lighting. The main focus in the photo is the pink flamingo. I chose it because of the color contrast and because I really like pink flamingos, the red on its wing is a nice addition. The reflection in the water makes this photo very unique and interesting, especially with the water ripples in the reflection.
Inside the marble caverns of Lago Carrera This picture was taken with natural lighting. It was taken inside the marble caverns in Lago Carrera. I chose this picture because I like all the different blues and the textures, I also really like the patterns in the marble. The photo was taken at an upward angle making the cavern seem larger.
