NCHA – Quick Overview • Started in Spring 2000 • Has been conducted at 500 institutions • Covers wide array of health topics: • Alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use • Sexual health • Weight, nutrition, and exercise • Mental health • Personal safety and violence
DePaul NCHA data • Collected in Spring Quarter 2010 • 4,000 student emailed NCHA • 872 completed assessment (return rate 22%) • Confidence interval ± 3.26 (95% confidence level) • Survey sample roughly mirrors DePaul population • Women overrepresented 9% • White students overrepresented 18%
