  1. WHICH MUSIC HELPS YOU CONCENTRATE THE BEST???????

  2. QUANITIES 1:Electric timer 1: MUSE song-Follow Me 1: Culture Club song- Karma Chameleon 1: Fun. Song- Some Nights 22: Reading worksheets 1: Cooperative 6th grade class

  3. Hypothesis We think that Fun will do the best on helping people concentrate. Because fun songs are smooth and not intense. We think that Some Nights (the song we chose) will especially help people concentrate.

  4. Experiment First we handed out 22 reading worksheets and instructed the following: 1: Read for 1 min. and listen to the song (while reading) and when the timer beeps after 1 minute stop reading and put a 1 where you finish. 2: Repeat step 1 but when song 2 ends put a 2. 3: Repeat steps 1 & 2 but when song 3 ends put a 3. Second, we played song number 1 which is Follow Me by Muse for 1 min. Then everybody wrote down a 1 where they finished. Third, we played Karma Chameleon by Culture Club for 1 minute as well. When the time was over everyone put a 2 where they finished. Fourth, we played Some Nights by Fun. When time ended everyone wrote down a 3 where they finished.

  5. Experiment Pt. 2 Fifth, we collected all the papers from everybody. Sixth, averaged how many lines people read. Then this is what we got…………

  7. CONCLUSION In conclusion, Karma Chameleon by Culture Club helped people concentrate and read better. Our hypothesis was wrong but, if we ever need help to concentrate better we know what song to listen to!

  8. IN THANKS We would like to thank Mrs. Larsen for printing off the reading worksheets and letting us use YouTube on her laptop. Truly without her this project would've never happened. So, Mrs. Larsen our thanks go out to you. :D
