  6. Barriers to proper application of technology in state schools: • access to appropriate equipment • the female attitude

  7. Women's attitudes and knowledge in relation to new technologies keep changing.

  8. As a result, their position in the workplace is improving. But there is still the “glass ceiling”.

  9. Computers can be used • during school hours. b) to complete homework at home.

  10. Education today focuses more on the student/pupil "researcher".

  11. Students should learn how to learn. The information they are exposed to is endless.So they should learn to develop their critical thinking and search for the information they need.

  12. What can students do with computers apart from playing computer games… • Use the “Word” software and type/print their presentations. • Use the educational CD-ROMs which accompany the coursebook. • Download tests, activity sheets, information etc. • Download music and the lyrics for specific songs. • So on … So on…

  13. Should learners use computers and the Internet to find specific things?

  14. Each of you can use new technologies at a higher or lower level. Go on! It will be a challenge!
