  4. IBM® Cognos Connection • Avails a single point of access to the enterprise data present in the Cognos software • Used to set preferences, provides customizable interface portal and personalizes the content

  5. IBM® Cognos Administration • Known as Central Management Interface handling the administrative tasks of Cognos BI • Categorized into three Sections: • Status • Security • Configuration

  6. IBM ®Cognos Configuration • Initializes configuration of Cognos components after installation, changes their priority value, or adds new components • Can be run in Interactive mode using GUI or in Silent mode using tools that run in the background

  7. IBM® Cognos Business Insight • The web-based tools that builds interactive dashboards using external data sources and Cognos content • Assembles and shares dashboards, personalizes the look of information and add comments for clarification of the questions
