Early life : Family + Education George Washington had 6 children. He married Mary Washington. Washington had 2 sisters and three brothers. He also had two in a half brothers. He was born on February 22,1732in a simple Virginia farmhouse. He grew up in Westmoreland country. He dreamed of sailing on a British War ship one day.

Significant Events in presidency Slide Some issues were being the first president. He loved Mount Vernon. He suffered during the war. Then his country asked for his help again . The new country needed a new kind of government to serve. He needed to work out the details , and leaders from each state. He went to Philadelphia for a meeting called Constitutional Convention. The members asked George W. to lead the meeting.
