  1. The 12 Bar Blues By: Serpil Cingoz 8y1

  2. What instruments they played • The instruments that were played was the guitar , harmonica , drum , bass guitar , piano , trombone , trumpet , saxophone the most important instrument used in blues music (and many others)is the human voice. For a lot of people , vocals are what makes music so great to listen to.

  3. Why was freedom worse than slavery ? Freedom was worse than slavery for many black Americans because they faced poverty and homelessness. When the black Americans were enslaved they were fed , given water and had a roof over their heads. When slavery was banned they had no right to stay where they were. They had no idea hoe to look after themselves which was not good. Also, they were the property of someone which meant that the slave can not be harmed otherwise the owner or harmer would have to pay but when the slaves were free and not protected they were aloud to harm them and abuse them and they don’t need to pay. The slaves were set free in 186.

  4. How did slaves express themselves Slaves express themselves through improvisation, Improvisation is when you make something up as you go along this is important because they could express themselves in there own way.
