  1. Al Fahidi Historic District in Dubai

  2. Al Fahidi Historic District in Dubai • It was my amazing journey towards Dubai from UK. I was there in last month I enjoyed a lot. But I never forget the real place Al Fahidi Historic District. I booked ticket and cheek the Med-View Flight Price. Al Fahidi Historical Region is one of the eldest heritage sites in Dubai and the last wind barbican quarter left on the Arab side of the Gulf. Classy houses with uneven walls defensive the privacy of the wealthy relations within became a symbol of the Al Fahidi Historical Region area.

  3. Wind barbicans topped these walls, tricking the wind and channeling it down into the house as an effective form of early air training. Inner courtyards, shady and highly decorated, provided a sharp contrast to this outer impenetrability. Wandering around Al Fahidi Historical District, it’s easy to transportation yourself back to a past era. These old buildings have been reformed into shady tea shops, art arcades and quirky slight workshops – making Al Fahidi Past Region the faultless home to while away a few hours. Traffic disappears to a quiet hum in the complex lanes of this nicely reinstated heritage area formerly recognized as the Bastakia Quarter. Its thin walking lanes are flanked by sand-colored houses outdid with wind towers, which deliver natural air-conditioning.

  4. Today, there are about 50 structures containing galleries, craft shops, cultural exhibits, courtyard cafes, art colonnades and two boutique hotels. The quarter was constructed in the early 1900's by merchants from the Persian town of Baste who established in Dubai to take benefit of tax breaks decided by the sheikh. By the 1970's, however, the structures had fallen into disorder and inhabitants began moving on to newer, more comfortable neighborhoods. Devoted locals, expatriates and even Prince Charles prevented the area's destruction in the 1980's. Hidden within the reinstated maze, which is effortlessly explored on an adrift wander. These places are best to see.
