Functions • Collecting data on ALL 21st CCLC attendees (not just Regular 21st CCLC attendees) • Grantees no longer acquire student-specific level data (e.g. EOC, EOG, feeder school classroom grades data) • Checklist (located on CFDC website and 21st CCLC webpage) • Red/Green Buttons: System navigation

  5. What is the CFDC? • The Consolidated Federal Data Collection System is a North Carolina web-based tool for electronic data submission • NCDPI willpull all student-level data from HomeBase/PowerSchool and other authoritative systems to the CFDC

CFDC-SITE Registration • The Consolidated Federal Data Collection (CFDC) is the system in which you will report all your 21st CCLC data • Users are required to have an NCID K-12 username and password • If you already have a NCID K-12 username, please do not register for another username • If you’ve forgotten your NCID, you can verify if one already exists by clicking on the “Forgot your User ID?” or “Forgot Your Password?” on https://ncid.nc.gov. NCID usernames are usually in the form firstname_lastname.

  7. CFDC- SITE Registration (cont’d) • If you already registered for the CFDC systems with your NCID, please do not register again. This system relies on single logon. Your current registration will give you access to the system. • If you have not registered for the CFDC system using your NCID, proceed with the following registration steps: • Identify CFDC users. • Grantees must register for an NCID K-12 account at https://ncid.nc.gov/. For instructions go to http://www.dpi.state.nc.us/ncid/k12/. • Grantees must register for the CFDC system at: https://schools.nc.gov/21cclc

Entering the CFDC Website(after your registration is complete) • Enter URL into browser https://schools.nc.gov/21cclc • Once at website, you will use your NCID and password to enter the site • Remember your Username will be your NCID, usually firstname_lastname • I will NEVER know your Password – If you get locked out, contact your local NCID administratorOR go to the NCID website and hit the forgot password link and answer the 5 questions you set when you registered.

CFDC-SITE AFTER you Register Questions • Please contact our NCDPI Service Desk at 919-807-4357 or dpi.incidents@its.nc.gov if you have questions related to NCID K-12 or CFDC registration. • If you are e-mailing please include CFDC-21stCCLC in the beginning of the subject line of your email along with your name, phone #, unit #, e-mail and a brief synopsis (fewer than 100 characters total) of the issue. If you are calling please state your name, phone #, unit #, and e-mail as well as a brief synopsis of the issue.

CFDC Welcome Page • Here you can see the open date and close date for the report. • You can also take note of the status of the report, as well as the school year for which you are reporting. • The phone number & e-mail of the Help Desk will also be listed here as well as the link to these directions.

  13. The Collection Tab • This is the ONLY place you can enter data • The FIRST Data Collection is the Grantee Profile; it has 5sections to it: • The Grantee (edit button) • Objective • Partner • Center • Feeder School

Grantee Profile • After you choose Grantee Profile in the dark blue • Make sure you have the correct school year from the drop down box, then find the Editbutton. • Click the Editbutton to start your editing process. Choose the Save button and it will take you back to the main screen. • Next, you will start to edit the RED buttons. (Make sure your cursor has an arrow when you roll over it, this tell you it is active and you can edit.)

  17. Grantee Detail Page • Once you have clicked the edit button the Grantee Detail page will appear. Please note you should still be in the Collection Tab under Grantee Detail. • Answer EVERYTHING with a red *. Descriptions are located at the bottom of the page. • ALWAYS click the Save button once you have entered data. If you clickthe Go Backbutton BEFORE you save you will lose all the data you just entered. • You must enter all the required data on this page. If you don’t, you will get an error message about missing data. After entering all your data and clicking the Save button, use the Go Backbutton to return to the Grantee Page.

  19. Objective Page If this is a new grant, this is what your page will look like. You must click the Add Objective Button to start entering data.

  21. Objectives • You must edit EVERY objective you entered. You will not be allowed to submit until all Objectives have been edited. • You can also add an objective on this page, simply click the Add Objective button and you will be prompted to enter your new information and save. • This is also where you can see when and who last edited your objectives

Objective Detail • To edit an Objective you must click on the EditButton and you will go to the Objective Detail page. • This is where you can active or deactivate an objective, and give a classification. • You must complete EVERYTHING with a red * • Always make sure you click the Save button before you click the Go Back button to leave this page or all information will be lost.

  25. Partner Page If this is a new grant, this is what your page will look like. You must click the Add Partner Button to enter data.

Partner • You must edit all partners in order to be able to submit • Click the blue Edit buttons to continue to edit each partner • Do not forget there are descriptions at the bottom of the page • This is also where you can see when and who last edited your partners • To add a partner you click on the Add Partner button and it will prompt you to fill out information about your new partner and then click the Savebutton

  29. Partner Detail • Here you will need to fill out EVERTHING with a red * • After editing make sure you click the Savebutton before clicking the Go Back button to edit the next Partner • Make sure all Partner information is up to date • Your Grant can NOT be your ONLY partner.

  31. Center If this is a new grant, this is what your page will look like. You must click the Add Center Button to enter data.

Center • To edit centers, click the Edit button and it will take you to the Edit Detail page. • This is also where you can check and see when and who last edited your centers. • Always click Save before you click the Go Back button to edit another center. • To add a center – click the Add Center button and enter information asked. • Remember, a center can have multiple Feeder Schools! • If you have more than one center or are an LEA, you must 1st select your center before you move onto Feeder Schools.

  34. Center Detail If this is a new grant, page will be blank and you will need to ENTER EVERYTHING.

  35. Center Detail If there is already data there, MAKE SURE YOU UPDATE THE INFORMATION.

  36. Make sure Grade Level Served is correct – This must match with what you will enter in APR

Center Detail • You must enter information for EVERYred *. • This page is very long; you might have to scroll down several times to get to the end of the page • You must always click Saveafter you have entered in any information you want to save • After you click Saveyou can go back to edit any other centers you may have or add a center • If you are funded for more than one program (center), remember each center is unique and the data is entered separately • If you have more than one center or are an LEA you must 1stselect your center before you move onto Feeder Schools

  39. Feeder School By entering your Feeder School through your Centers, you are completing and getting your green check on the main page. You must enter your Feeder Schools ONLY through your Centers, as this is how we connect your students to the correct schools in the APR.

Feeder School • A Feeder School is: • Defined as the school in which your children attend during the school day • NOT your center • Feeder School page is where you add or deactivate a feeder school • The Modified status on page tells you if you have edited that feeder school • Feeder School page is where you can view who last edited the entered data

  41. Feeder School Detail If you are a new grant and have not entered any Feeder Schools for your Center – This is what the screen will look like. You MUST click the ADD FEEDER SCHOOL Button to enter data.

  43. Feeder School Detail Pick your LEA and SCHOOL from the Drop Down boxes: ALL LEAs and SCHOOLS ARE LISTED.

Feeder School Detail • Must fill out EVERYTHING with a red *. • The drop down boxes will let you choose your LEA and schools • If you have a Private School, we ask that you give us the number of students you are serving in the APR (CFDC is specific to public school student data) • Always click the Savebutton – then click the Go Back button
