  2. What is Facebook? Facebook is a Social Media site where you can easily communicate with friends, relatives, neighbors and others.

  5. Positive Aspects of Social Media Find old friends. Keep in touch with distant relatives and friends. Share information with a lot of friends at once.

  6. Positive Aspects of Social Media See what others are doing. Communicate with businesses.

  7. Negative Aspects of Social Media Default settings for a new account may allow access to information you’d really prefer was private. People from your past, whom you prefer to leave in your past, may find you. Facebook can be time consuming.

  11. Terms LIKE – You can give a friend’s comment or picture a “thumbs up” by clicking on the thumbs up icon. This tells others that you “like” the comment or picture.

  12. Privacy Settings First, understand that even if you set privacy settings properly, you are posting information on a website which means it MIGHT be accessible. If you’re really concerned about privacy, stay off the web!
