  2. Coconut Oil & Lemon Massage Coconut oil nourishes your hair, while lemon juice helps to treat dandruff at home without using harmful chemicals. Heat 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and mix it with equal amounts of lemon juice. Massage your scalp gently with the mixture. Leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing if off with shampoo.

  3. Fenugreek Pack Soak some fenugreek or methi seeds in water overnight. Drain the leftover water and mash the softened seeds into a paste. Let the paste sit for about an hour. Rinse it off with a mild shampoo.

  4. Henna or Mehndi Henna softens your hair, while lemon juice works its wonder in dandruff treatment. Mix Henna or Mehndi powderwith tea liquor, curd and a dash of lemon juice. Set this mixture aside for approximately 8 hours. Apply it on your scalp and hair. Leave it on for about 2 hours and then wash off thoroughly.

  5. Neem Juice Neem has anti-bacterial properties and is an amazing home remedy for dandruff. Grind a bunch of neem leaves in a food processor to form a thick paste. Apply this paste on your scalp and let it sit for 10 minutes or so. Wash it off with water.

  6. Tea tree oil Study showed that shampoos with tea tree oil significantly improves the severity of dandruff. You can also add a few drops of tea tree oil to your favorite shampoo as you wash normally. OR Pour a few drops of tea tree oil on your scalp and spread it evenly. Let it soak for 5 minutes. Wash it off with a mild shampoo.

  7. Baking soda Wet your hair and then rub a handful of baking soda vigorously into your scalp. Skip the shampoo and go right to rinsing. Baking soda reduces overactive fungi that can cause dandruff.

  8. Apple cider vinegar Mix a quarter cup apple cider vinegar with a quarter cup water in a spray bottle and spritz on your scalp. Wrap your head in a towel and let sit for 15 minutes to an hour, then wash your hair as usual. Do this twice a week.

  9. Yogurt Believe it or not, with yogurt you can remove dandruff quite well. You just need to wash and then rinse your hair for around 15 minutes, then rinse and wash again. Quick, efficient and very useful, this is one of the best dandruff removal techniques that is also inexpensive as well.

  10. Aspirin You need to get some aspiring and crush it with the hammer or other similar object, and then you just have to add it into your shampoo. The results are much more efficient and you will surely appreciate them. Leave it in the hair for a few minutes if you want the best possible outcome.
