  7. Blood Transfusion service • Size: Average 1000 bed • Crossmatchs: 26,042 (80% electronic) • Transfusion Data (2010-2011) Red Cells: 14,877 Apheresis Platelets: 847 Buffy Coat Platelet Pools: 1,549 Apheresis Plasma: 2,352 Frozen Plasma: 345 Cryoprecipitate: 3,303 Derivatives: 25,000
