  1. Mumbai is best known for Mumbai is synonymous with Mayanagri or the 'City of Dreams' not just for the people of India. People from all walk of life flock to the city every day to earn a living. Mumbai is the heartbeat of all Mumbaikars no matter where they settle. some of Asia's biggest slums as well as the world's most expensive homes along with the largest tropical forest in an urban area, the city truly mirrors the diversity that India is known for.Mumbai is the capital of the state of Maharashtra and is the most populous city in India. The city's change in name did not alter the feelings Mumbaikars have for this place. Mumbai is the city that never sleeps and that comes as no surprise because there's so much to do here.

  2. Mumbai is Famous For: 1. Gateway of India Located at the tip of Apollo Bunder, the gateway overlooks the Mumbai harbor that is bordered by the Arabian Sea in the Colaba district. Gateway of India is constituted of a large arch, with a height of 26m and is done in Indo-Saracenic style. However, if one looks closely, traces of Muslim architectural styles can also be seen in the edifice. Another top attraction in Mumbai, Elephant Caves are located close to the Gateway of India, and tourists can travel on motorboats to reach there. 2. Film City
