The BRAHMS experiment is currently running smoothly with no major issues. Since January 16th, we have recorded 0.43 nb⁻¹, collecting 12M MRS and 11M FS triggers. The focus now is on the “soft physic” low-pT program, aiming to deliver 2 nb⁻¹ within a week. For the high-pT program, which is luminosity-limited, the goal is 4 nb⁻¹, with strategies to enhance luminosity and b* squeeze to achieve this. A minimum of two weeks in low energy running is required for physics outcomes. Planning meetings and discussions are ongoing to optimize performance.

BRAHMS Cu+Cu Status • Running smoothly without major issues - 0.43 nb-1 recorded since Jan. 16th - 12M MRS 11M FS Triggers collected • Currently running “soft physic” (low-pT) program - Goal: 2 nb-1 delivered - Will be done in a week • High-pT program - Goal: 4 nb-1 delivered - Will be luminosity limited - Higher luminosity and/or b* squeeze will help reaching the goal • Minimum low energy run required for physics: ~ 2 weeks RHIC Planning Meeting
