  2. What is the Co-Curricular Record? Laurier’s Co-Curricular Record (CCR) is • An institutionally recognized document of student involvement and leadership through non-academic means • Meant to encourage and recognize involvement • Meant to complement academics, with strong out-of-class learning • A tool to share and communicate co-curricular involvement to potential employers, Grad schools and grants and bursaries Student Leadership Centre

Why is the CCR important for your Group? • Gives the members an official means of being recognized for their leadership contributions at WLU • Increases each member’s dedication to the group as they will want the best learning experience possible • Supports the learning that each member does as part of their participation • Contributes to an enhanced culture of student involvement

What is your job as Validator? • Make sure your club members are aware to add their activities for the whole academic year to their CCR between January and Mid-March • Campus Club President: provide list to the validator • Validator: Compare the club member list to the pending validations for each club and accept or decline the requests • Finish validating for all clubs by early April

How do I validate a CCR request? • Go to waterlooccr.mylaurier.ca • Login (to the staff section) using your student ID and LORIS password • On the Home Dashboard click “Co-Curricular Record” (See following Photos) • Select “View my Validations” [Will say no pending validations when all validations are completed] • Select “Pending Requests” • Approve/Decline

What is your job as a Student? • Make sure you add your activities for the whole academic year to your CCR between January and Mid-March • Use the CCR website to search for all of your extra-curricular activities from intramurals, to reslife, to faculty associations and more • Validators will either accept or decline your request to be recognized as being part of that club
