NZ-China Student Visa Funds Transfer Scheme

Step 1. Student -> CITIC Bank Student applies for a transfer account, deposits funds and signs transfer management agreement with CITIC (minimum deposit of RMB150k per annum). CITIC distributes an ANZ Account Opening Form (AOF) and/or refers to Immigration New Zealand (INZ) website link to AOF.

  1. Step 1. Student -> CITIC Bank Student applies for a transfer account, deposits funds and signs transfer management agreement with CITIC (minimum deposit of RMB150k per annum). CITIC distributes an ANZ Account Opening Form (AOF) and/or refers to Immigration New Zealand (INZ) website link to AOF Step 2. Student -> INZ Student submits completed student visa application including CITIC FTS registration certificate to INZ NZ-China Student Visa Funds Transfer Scheme Step 3. Student -> ANZ Bank (account opening) If Student visa is Approved-in-principle (AIP) applicant will email completed ANZ AOF, copy of passport biopage/signature page and copy of AIP letter to nzmigrantbanking@anz.co.nz. NZ-based ANZ branch will open account within 2 working days and send welcome email to student. Step 4. Student -> CITIC (funds remittance) Student contacts CITIC to complete international TT payments to ANZ (in NZ) and NZ Education Provider. Note the different payment components required for aged 17 and under & aged 18 or above.Refer to FAQ on INZ website for more information. Step 5. Student -> ANZ Student emails NZ based ANZ contact (nzmigrantbanking@anz.co.nz) to confirm remittance made to their newly opened ANZ NZ based account. Step 6. ANZ -> INZ Following funds transfer from China to student’s new NZ based account, ANZ email funds confirmation to INZ processing officer & cc applicant.Student visa is then issued and returned to student (pending receipt of all AIP documentation) Step 7.Student -> ANZ (after arrival in NZ) Following arrival in NZ, student presents ID to ANZ and activates bank account, Automatic Payment (AP) established, debit card is collected and other ANZ related banking information provided.
