In my artwork "Outside of Smitha," I explore the influences of Henri Matisse, renowned for his Surrealism and vibrant use of color. Inspired by Matisse's asymmetrical piece "Open Window," I sought to capture the beauty of nature through my own lens. While Matisse experimented with oil paints and abstract forms, I prefer the precision of colored pencils. My style reflects a blend of realism, focusing on natural scenes and people while maintaining authenticity. Join me as I reflect on the interplay between our artistic visions.
