  2. Cadence • Down, Color and #, Color and #, Set Hut • The color and # will allow us to install audibles in the future. • Example Cadence • Down, Red 80, Red 80, Set, Hut

  3. Labeling Skills Players • Quarterback- Q • Tailback- A • Fullback- B • Slot Receiver- Z • Split End- X • Tight End/Split- Y

  4. Motions • Receiver or Backs will be tagged by their letter and type of motion • Jet- All the way across a formation • Zap- Motion towards the nearest sideline • Zip- Motion towards the lineman • Zoom- Bubble motion

  5. Blocking Strategies • 30- 3 step packages, Quick passes, cut most dangerous • 50- 5 step packages, Step right, B will have blitzing weak side linebacker • 51- 5 step packages, Step left, B will have blitzing weak side linebacker • 70- Zone • Rocket- Roll right • Laser- Roll left

  6. Passing Tree • All EVENS break in towards the middle of the field • All ODDS break out towards the sideline • 0- Quick hitch 2-3 yards • 1- Quick Out 2-3 yards • 2- Quick Slant 2-3 yards • 3- Deep out- 10 yards • 4- Curl - 12 yards back to 10 yards • 5- Comeback- 12 yards back to 10 yards • 6- Dig- 6 yards fly 3 yards to the post, then square it off • 7- Post Corner- Break to the post at 6 yards then back to the corner • 8- Post- Break at 6 yards • 9- Fade • Buckey- changes any route to that route and a go. For example • 1 buckey would turn into a out and up (wheel route) • 0 buckey would turn into a hitch and go

  7. Hand Signals • Quick Hitch – One Fist in the air • Quick Out- Grab shoulder pad with one hand • Quick Slant- Slap outside of thigh • Deep Out- Grab both shoulders • Curl- Put both fists in the air • Comeback- Make and X with your arms • Dig- Grab inside of thigh • Post Corner- Roll fists • Post- Grab the middle of your jersey • Fade- Tap the top of your helmet • Buckey- Tap your facemask
