  1. 3 Ways to Stop Bed-Wetting in Children Are you frustrated that your child is already in the school and he is still wetting the bed at night. You might have tried all sorts of things like limiting the liquids after dinner, asked your child to empty his bladder in the middle of the night, but still no luck. Well, don’t get disheartened because you are not alone. Unfortunately, bed wetting is a common problem in most of the young children, no matter they have been potty trained well during the daytime. However, here are some of the steps you can take as how to stop wetting the bed: Bladder Training A process in which your child goes to the bathroom at fixed times, even if they don’t think they need to go. Consistently following this process can help in stimulating the bladder training and also will help with the bladder control. Bladder training for the bed-wetting happens at night, which means you will wake up your child once or twice a night to go to the bathroom. Use a Bed-Wetting Alarm Consider using a bed-wetting alarm if the bladder training does not improves the bedwetting even after few months. The bed-wetting alarms are special type of alarms that are designed to detect the onset of urine so that your child can wake up and rush to the bathroom before they wet the bed. The alarm creates a loud noise to wake your child up if at all your child starts to urinate. This alarm can be especially helpful for you if your child is a deep sleeper. Once your child gets used to it, the alarm trains the brain to recognize the need to urinate and to wake up accordingly. Avoid giving Drinks before bedtime Your child might be use to drinking a glass of milk or water before going to bed, and this might lead to bed wetting. Therefore, eliminating drinks an hour before going to the bed will help in preventing ng the bed wetting. It can also help to ensure that your child gets most of fluid intake in the morning and afternoon as well. Also try to eliminate desserts and night time snacks, as your child might feel thirsty after having the food. Though bed-wetting is a common occurrence in children, not all cases of children get resolved on their own. If your child is above 5, wets the bed every night and are you wondering how to stop wetting the bed? In such scenario, you need to discuss this with the pediatrician. Moreover, this could also indicate an underlying issue.
