  3. Orbit : Inertial (polar) at 896 km altitude. COROT observe perpendicularly to the orbit plane : no Earth occultation.  At the beginning of a long duration observation (150 days) the sun is near the orbit plan.  180° satellite rotation at each change of target, so the sun remains at more than 90° from the observed field.
