DCBL Group- Pan India Presence • DCBL is a pioneer of the cement units in India having a track record of 73 years. • DCBL set up its first plant in 1939 with a capacity of 60,000 Tons PA • DCBL is one of the leading cement manufacturers of Southern India having a capacity of 10 Million Tons in TN & AP. • It also has a substantial interest in the 2.2 Million Tons cement plant of Orissa Cement Limited located in the state of Orissa. ( Konark Cement)

DCBL Capacity @ Kadapa • Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd. has embarked on a project to set up a plant  of 5 MTPA capacities in two phases i.e. 2.5 Million Tons by 2008-09 • Additional Planning for 2.5 Million Tons by 2014-15, in Cuddapah District of A.P, having large reservoirs of lime stone deposits.

  3. Corporate Ethics & CSR • DCBL contribute about Rs.900 Crores annually towards taxes and royalties to the Central and State exchequers. • DCBL Engages Dupont for safety consultancy –one of the top most pioneer for Industrial safety with international standards.

  5. CEMENT INDUSTRY –FY-12 • Cement Industry posts growth in FY12- 6.4%. ( 330 Million Tonne Industry ). Projection from optimistic FY13—8 to 9% ACC, Ambuja is expanding Rs.5000crores. Ultra-tech is adding 25 Million Ton capacity . Dalmia-is acquiring 10 Million ton Capacity. There are 40 Players in Cement Industry.

  6. Cement consumption in India • 12 th Year plan( 2012-17) is projecting the requirement of overall cement capacity of arround 480 Million tonnes . • Means a gap of 150MTPA . • FY`12- In March, the Industry sold -22.5MT • ( 7.5% growth to previous Month)

  7. Transport –Road • Govt to Fund 30% highway Projects. • Govt to Award contracts for -7,300kms . • Out of which 2500kms of NH -100% Funding by Govt.- sources- TOI-ND-12.04.12 • Cement Industry sold Building material -223MT . • Production Growth in FY 12—225MTPA
