Reflecting on the significance of the innkeeper during the birth of Christ, we see how a simple act of hospitality played a remarkable part in fulfilling ancient prophecies from Micah and Luke. The innkeeper may have been unaware of the magnitude of the baby Jesus's arrival in Bethlehem, but his small gesture allowed for the Savior’s birth. As we navigate the hustle and bustle of the season, we are reminded to make room for Christ in our lives. Will we, like the innkeeper, recognize the importance of His presence today?

He had no signs! • Angels • Host of Angels
He played a part in prophecy and didn’t know it. • Micah 5:1 (NIV) Marshal your troops, O city of troops, for a siege is laid against us. They will strike Israel's ruler on the cheek with a rod. 2 "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times." • John 7:42 (NIV) Does not the Scripture say that the Christ will come from David's family and from Bethlehem, the town where David lived?
He played a part in the present and was thanked for it! • Luke 2:10a…I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
He played a part in history and probably had no clue how important the baby was until later! • Never mentioned again as far as we know.
He plays a part today if you will let him! • Have you said no room today to Christ? • Will you find a place for Him today in your life? • Can you focus on Christ in all the hustle and bustle of the season?
