  3. Aeromedical concerns • Sudden incapacitation • Long term complications • Submaximal therapy

  4. Aeromedical policies • Universally, no waivers are granted for military aviators • J.A.A.:No waivers granted. • F.A.A.: Waivers granted for class 3 only.

  7. Waivers 4 aviators – continue active duty. 2 pilots – non medical waiver Weapon system operator –fit to fly Cargo navigator – fit to fly Cargo pilot - medically disqualified

  8. Hypoglycemia • Clinical hypoglycemia – no case. • low glucose levels (30 -60 mg\dl): 3\4

  9. No cases of sudden incapacitation or flight safety jeopardize were noted

  10. Summary No case of sudden incapacitation or long term complications were noted , yet The hectic life habits of military aviators and fear of hypoglycemia lead to suboptimal glycemic control.
