The 7-Step Process • Step 1: Prepare Your Zeal • Where is our zeal for God built? • How was Peter’s heart prepared? • Gal. 3:24 • Lk. 1:17 • How can our hearts be prepared? • New Law • Dwelling on pure things (Phil. 4:8) • Eliminate evil/Replace with purity (1 Th. 5:22; 1 Pet. 2:11-12; Phil. 1:9-11)

  4. The 7-Step Process • Step 2: Ignite Your Zeal • Peter’s 1st encounter with Christ (Jn. 1:35-2:11): • Invited to come to Christ (1:40-41) • Received a new name (potential) (1:42) • Witnessed the power of Christ (2:7-9) • Zeal IGNITED (2:11) • What happened later? (Mt. 4:17-22)
