  3. 6901 Bachelor of Science • 16-in-One one entry in application for a choice of 16 Science majors (except Actuarial Science - 6729)

BSc Basic curriculum requirements Minimum 180 credits (30 6-credit courses) over three years: • 12 courses(72 crs) for the major including experiential learning requirement# • Four 3-credit courses (12 crs) for fulfilling university language and broadening requirements • 2Science Faculty electives (12 crs) • 14 elective courses or courses leading to a minor or second major (84 crs) # experiential learning requirements may be in the form of exchange study, overseas field courses, internship, research project, dissertation or professional preparation programme

JUPAS Grade E or above in UE* & CLC At least 2ALs/1AL+2ASs Grade E or above in at least 1 AL + 1 AS in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics & Statistics, Computer Studies, Computer Applications, Geography or Economics *The University normally requires a grade D in Use of English but special consideration has been given to those students with a grade E in Use of English applying for this programme. Minimum Faculty Admission Requirements

Admission Interview • Interview is an important process; interview performance will be counted (5%) towards admissions • Suitable candidates may be invited to attend interviews (generally those in Band A) • Applicants will be assessed on areas such as communication skill, logical thinking, analytical skill, motivation and attitude

  10. Selection Criteria for 6901 • HKALE –– 70% ＊ Bonus on one of the AL science subjects with a grade A ＊ UE counted • HKCEE –– 25% • Interview performance counted 5%

  11. 2007 Admission Data • No. of First Year students admitted in 2007: 514 • BSc students: 429 • Actuarial Science students: 85 • % of Non-JUPAS students: 10-15% • No. of Second Year students admitted through the Direct Admissions Scheme: 32 2007 JUPAS Admission Grades Note: The grades represent the students who were at the top, middle and lowest position of the admission list of the programme.
