  1. FUEL TV – The Weekly Update Promo Rituals are common sight in sports these days,  it’s not weird to see a hockey team  remain unshaven during the play-offs or baseball players performing the same pre-bat routine before their turn to bat. All these “rituals” are performed by the athlete to help them feel comfortable and relaxed during their performance, if a ritual is not performed it could affect how the athlete performs. FUEL TV will create a series of promo’s around the rituals that involve the rituals of sneakers/boots in action sports. In no other area are rituals performed more than with shoes. Shoes are the lifeblood of an athletes performance, if the shoes aren’t right, nothing else will fall into place.  Skateboarders, for example, are known for being overly cautious when it comes to their shoe rituals. It usually starts off with the opening up of a brand new box of shoes, lacing them up in an over under lacing pattern, then burning the ends of the shoe laces so they wont get frayed from grinding against the grip tape. Then the oven gets pre heated to 350 degrees and the shoes are slid in for no more than five minutes.  When they come out the skater immediately puts them on and begins to do a form of calisthenics designed to break in the shoe so they won’t be stiff when they try their first trick.  They then pick up the board and rub the bottom of their shoes against the grip tape to dull up the shiny new surface so his shoes will stick to the board better. After that they are ready to go, he jumps on his board and takes off.  At the very end of the spot viewers will see The Weekly Update tune-in graphic along with the respective client branding.

  3. The Weekly Update Branding Client branding will be included into the entire Weekly Update graphic package including all promos, bumps, event score cards, & lower thirds. FUEL TV airs approximately 1,000 The Weekly Update promos per month in which client will receive logo and v/o inclusion in all promos. The Weekly Update will shoot a monthly “tech segment” from a select retail location covering new releases and product features including client product/apparel. In The Weekly Update, “One on One Interview” host Brent Rigenbach gets up close and personal with a particular athlete. The Weekly Update will feature client athletes in a “One on One” interview. The Ticker in The Weekly Update keeps viewers in-tune with all the latest stats and developments throughout the world of action sports. Client will have the option to utilize the ticker to promote events and/or various other initiatives. Client will receive permanent branding and pre/post video roll on the fuel.tv/TheWeeklyUpdate web page.
