This project focuses on enhancing healthcare access for riverine populations in the Marajó archipelago through e-health applications supported by a Data Mule Network. By utilizing boats as mobile data carriers, the network facilitates remote medical consultations, allowing local riverine technicians to send critical health data to doctors in Belém. With advanced applications for real-time patient monitoring and diagnosis, the initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and improve health outcomes in isolated communities.

Objectives • Development of Amazônia. • To reduce the digital divide in the archipelago of Marajó. • Electronic health care for riverine communities.
CoDPON • Continuous Displacement Plans Oriented Network • Data mule based network. • Makes use of the main transportation structure in the archipelago of Marajó • Boats acting in a collaborative process
Elements of CoDPON Peer Base Station (PBS) Kit of Data Exchange (KDE) Displacement Plan DACT (CoDPON Application Data in Transit) Node
E-health Applications • Remote medical consultations: • A doctor in Belem promptly checks for life-threatening situations in pregnant women ultrasound files administered by local riverine technicians and sent via the data mule network to the city hospitals • A riverine patient relates his problem on a video sent to doctors in Belem, who analyze the problem andsendtheir prompt diagnosis back to the patient • A patient’s electronic stetoscope files are sent to Belem where doctors reviewing the files may call for the patient to immediately come to Belem, upon high risk of a heart attack
