This includes experience working as an external auditor for a national CPA firm, and serving in positions as Controller and Director of Accounting.   5. Storyboard Introduction • We would like to introduce to you Roger. He is a Senior Oracle Financials and GRC functional consultant with a strong background in auditing, accounting and finance. Roger also has a strong background in IT Security and Auditing. He has a BS in Accounting, a MBA and he has earned professional credentials including CPA, CISA and CITP. • Roger wants to leverage his business and Oracle experience and education to become a Certified Oracle Identity Management Pre-Sales Champion. This will enable him to work with Oracle Consulting and Oracle Partners and participate in Oracle IdM pre-sales activities. • Roger will leverage OIC OPN resources and Oracle Guided Learning Paths (GLPs) and Oracle by Example (OBE) to achieve his Oracle Professional Development goals.

  6. What are Guided Learning Paths? Oracle PartnerNetwork Guided Learning Paths • The Oracle PartnerNetwork has created a number of guided learning paths to assist in learning Oracle products, services, and skills. The learning paths contain a list of recommended and required training courses for each partner role, either online through Oracle University Online or in-class training by attending Oracle University Instructor-Led classes. Each GLP also includes an assessment exam and a certificate. • A guided learning path may contain up to three levels: Awareness, Proficiency and Advanced. • Awareness level: The awareness courses are intended to provide partner a high level understanding of Oracle products. • Proficiency level: The proficiency level courses are intended to provide you with the knowledge you need to be successful as an Oracle Champion.Upon completion there is a self-paced assessment, to ensure that you, the participant, have attained core competency. The goal of all of this is to enable you in the field with the knowledge required to compete and excel in your jobs. • Advanced level: Other additional resources that help partner to be more informed on Oracle products.

Areas of Specialization (Roles) • The Oracle PartnerNetwork features six areas of specialization (roles) for Partners working with Oracle products, policies, practices, and procedures: • Sales Consultant– Designed for sales representatives and consulting practice leaders who are selling and positioning Oracle products to their customers. • Presales Consultant – Ideal for sales engineers and presales consultants who need more in-depth information about Oracle products as they support the sales process through demonstrations and prototypes. • Implementation Consultant – Perfect for implementation consultants who need more in-depth information as they work with customers to implement solutions based on Oracle products. • Integration Consultant – Designed for developers who are building custom applications or are integrating third party applications with the Oracle's Applications. • Support Consultant – Ideal for specialists who need a robust knowledge base for full technology support focus on process best practices and advanced support technology to proactively prevent problems and to accelerate problems resolution. • Developer – Designed for developers working with Independent Software Vendors or System Integrators, who build custom applications, integrate applications or manage data warehouses, and need to design and deploy these applications or data warehouses. Many tracks focus on technology and development methods and languages.

OPN Champion Accreditation • Select a guided learning path based on your product and role. • Register for and attend the in Class courses or access the free online courses listed within the required guided learning path. • Complete and pass the required online assessment test provided at the end of each path. • Get your certificate. The certificate is proof of partner accreditation as an Oracle Champion, specializing in the ORACLE product. In order to access this certificate the partner must have a score of 80% or greater on the assessment.

Next Step • If you are already an Oracle Partner or have access to the OPN Portal you can simply log into the OPN and begin developing our own Oracle Professional Development Program. • If you are not an Oracle Partner, you do can purchase an annual OPN membership for $2,000. • You will also need access to the Oracle Vision Demo Instance for R11.5.10.2 and/or R12 to complete the lab exercises, practice and gain “hands on” experience. You can purchase access to an Oracle Vision Demo Instance for approximately $300 per month, which comes to $3,600 per year for each instance. • You can become an OIC Contractor and gain access to our OPN Account, My Oracle Support, and our dedicated Vision Demo Instances for R11.5.10.2 and R12.1.1. • If you are invited to become a member of our TOP Team, the OIC will also aggressively market and sell your services to Oracle Consulting, Oracle Partners and Oracle Customers who lack these resources.
