  1. August 14th, 2012Good Afternoon! To begin the day, we will do an activity that requires you to be in groups of three. Choose your groupmates (no more than three!) and be ready to begin by the time Mrs. Smith has finished taking attendance!

  2. 3 Unrelated Words With your group, you are going to create a scene based on three unrelated words that Mrs. Smith will give you. The scene should be about 1-2 minutes long. The only rule is you must incorporate all three of your words in some manner! Each group should turn in a sheet of paper with the following information: Group Members’ Names Group’s Three Words A Breakdown of the Situation An Introduction A Body A Conclusion While you are watching, choose your favorite performance. Make sure you can give multiple reasons why that particular one was your favorite!

  3. Production Schedule Activity • Each group will receive some slips of colored paper. You will put these in order based on what happens first. • Look on pages 343-370 of the textbook to get some ideas on what goes first. • For those things that are not in the textbook, you will have to use common sense and your prior knowledge of backstage theatre to figure out the order. • Once your group is finished, one person should raise his or her hand. Mrs. Smith will come check your work.
