  3. What is IIW? • Mission: best practices, certification, training & standards • AWS Executive Director Ray Shook is an IIW vice-president • Past-President Damien Kotecki is IIW’s treasurer • IIW holds an annual assembly every year in a host country

What is the IIW Annual Assembly? • AWS is hosting IIW in 2012 —first time in U.S. in 15 years • An international technical conference accompanies every annual assembly event • AWS, EWI & Welding Research Council are official hosts • Central venues are the Hyatt Regency Denver and the Colorado Convention Center

  5. Who will attend? • Delegates from each IIW-member country • Leaders in welding technology from around the world • Family members of IIW attendees • An estimated 800 or more attendees
