  1. How To Instill Healthy Eating Habits In Your Children? Overview An early saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a man.” Children come as a blank slate into this world. It is the responsibility of parents and society to prepare them for a better tomorrow. The first item on their priority list should be their kids’ health and wellness. And, an important aspect of their health is their eating habits. We live in times when fast foods are marketed better than healthy foods. It becomes imperative that parents, indian school teachers and every adult around educates kids on eating right. But how? We have prepared a list of some practices that adults should follow to develop good eating habits in their kids. Importance of Healthy Eating in Kids Eating healthy has lots of benefits. Eating healthy is probably the easiest and cheapest way to prevent the onset of diseases. Eating a balanced diet saves you from chronic illnesses like obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes that seem to be common among every generation. Good eating habits thus become all the more important for children. As they are in the developing phase of their life, they require minerals and nutrients for the proper growth of their mind and body. Also, habits set during childhood most likely stay with them for life. We are going to look at some of the easy ways to instill healthy eating habits among children. It should be paid attention to because most parents don't understand what constitutes a good healthy diet. Let’s go. Tip #1: Eat Slowly Consider Eating slowly as a commandment for life. This is as important for you as for your child. Dieticians note that children understand their level of hunger better when they eat slowly. Eating slowly also means chewing food longer. This saves their intestines from a lot of trouble. The practice improves digestion and helps absorb nutrients better. Research from NCBI notes that people tend to eat fast and gain weight quicker than people who eat relatively slower.

A pleasant atmosphere around the dining table filled with good, supportive, and interactive conversation is associated with kids developing healthy eating habits. It also brings the family closer together. Tip #3: Involve your children in food shopping You should know about your child’s food choices. Taking them out on food shopping will not only give you time to reconnect with them but also tell you so much about their likes and dislikes when it comes to food. Besides, it is also noted that children try foods more willingly they help prepare. Tip #4: Discourage TV while eating Television is a distraction when it comes to food. Full-grown adults also fall into its trap. Eating while watching TV makes it difficult to distinguish between hunger and the feeling of fullness. Surveys report that children who eat their food in front of the TV generally overeat their food.
