  9. UC as a Service: Key Findings From Ovum’s research Evan Kirchheimer evan.kirchheimer@ovum.com April 2013

  10. Standard UC, mobile UC and social are priorities UCC status. Which of the following do expect to have in the future? 81% of large enterprises plan to invest in at least some aspects of UC. 78% have budget to back that up.

  11. UCC is firmly linked to business process improvement It is highly significant that UCC is linked first and foremost to business process improvement and enablement of flexible working and productivity, as well as business agility – a real surprise.

  12. We are moving to a more ‘cloudy’ UC world – 2X popularity in 2 years • Currently, between 10-20% of UC applications are hosted in a private cloud; in two years, we expect 20-30%. • Currently, 4-8% are delivered via multi-tenant, public cloud. In two years, we expect 8-14%.

  13. For UC, CIOs tell us that they prefer Telcos to Systems or IT providers Equipment makers, SIs and IT can provide a technical solution but have difficulties providing a complete end-to-end service. Telco capabilities are much better than SIs and local resellers, but in customer orientation they are much weaker. You have to have a dialog with the operators. They provide a service. You can buy from someone else and they would be behind there somewhere but that’s not the way we want to do it. System integrators do not run this for you. They have a telco behind them. My opinion is that the telcos will try to drive this market forward and to sell this as one product.
