  1. The challenge The solution What if you could easily recharge all these device at once, wirelessly, from anywhere in your home? Even charge things that move around your home, like a phone in your pocket. One power charger that recharges as many devices as you have! Everything just works, because they’re always charged and ready to go. How many devices do you own that are powered by batteries? How many chargers, cords, wires or fresh batteries do you need to keep all those battery operated devices powered? Recharging every device one at a time with individual chargers doesn’t scale, especially when the Internet of Thingsexplodes with more battery-powered devices. Safe. Efficient. Easy. Scalable. Totally wireless power. Cota redefines wireless power by delivering remote, targeted energy to devices safely and intelligently. Built on our patented smart antenna technology, Cota keeps devices automatically charged so that your world is always on and always connected.

  2. Cota wireless remote power is … A home full of power: A single charger powers any Cota-enabled device within a 30-foot radius. Safe/efficient: Naturally safe technology inherently avoids living objects; a one to many design is highly efficient. Smart/learning: Smart charger remembers the use pattern of devices and tracks devices as they leave and return to the home/office; ensuring that every device is always charged and available. Driving a design paradigm shift: Not just replacing the batteries we already have; true wireless remote power enables the Internet of Things and other new devices previously unavailable due to power constraint issues. All devices around the house being charged Example: iPhone receiver It’s all about real wireless power: always on, always ready Cota-enabled remote wireless power means that one FCC- compliant charger safely powers many compatible devices in an average home simultaneously.

  3. How it works (no obstruction) • Each receiver device sends out low power signals at a rate of 100 times per second. • The receiver detects each signal and “records” the shape characteristics of the signal as it is received. • In turn, the charger sends signals that mimic (play back) the incoming signal characteristics with opposite phase, creating a power signal that is focused only on the receiver.

  4. How it works (with obstruction) Cota is inherently safe, since it is designed to be efficient in its power delivery. Additionally, the technology improves efficiency by avoiding absorption of its signal by objects in the environment. Cota-enabled devices send out weak brief signals to “light up” the open paths between it and the charger. Cota chargers send out signals that travel only through the open paths discovered between the charger and the device needing power. This cycle happens 100 times a second to maintain the power location at the device; safely avoiding any people, pets or interfering with wireless equipment.

  5. How it works (multiple devices) The charger establishes the signal shape from each device and replays the signal to power the devices from memory. The charger will also refresh the signal shape for each device multiple times a second to be able to follow moving devices.
