PROGAMME DAY 1 ( 1st March 2013) Susan Carol Jenkins, GradDipPhys, PhD(PCL) Professor Sue Jenkins graduated with a Diploma in Physiotherapy from Guy’s Hospital School of Physiotherapy, London UK in 1979. She then received her PhD from Polytechnic of Central London, UK in 1989. She is currently the Associate Professor of Curtin University of Technology, School of Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy Department, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth, Western Australia and School of Medicine and Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, The University of Western Australia. She is also the Head of Physiotherapy Unit, Lung Institute of Western Australia, Centre for Asthma, Allergy and Respiratory Research (CAARR), Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, The University of Western Australia. Amongst the years of practice she has received multiple professional awards, with the latest being The Janine Panizza Award for outstanding contribution to the work of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (WA Branch) which was jointly awarded to Professor Sue and Nola Cecins in October 2009. Professor Sue has had many clinical and teaching experiences. Having jointly managed and delivered an out-patient pulmonary rehabilitation service since 1997, and teaching in Curtin University since 1992. She currently focuses on managing patients with chronic lung disease and providing expert advice to clinicians in Western Australia and throughout Australia. Professor Sue has been an invited speaker in over more than 12 countries, making her a recognized expert in the field of pulmonary rehabilitation. She has been active in publishing peer-reviewed papers since 1986 and has co-authored in over 6 books. DAY 2 ( 2ND March 2013)

  4. PROGAMME. DAY 1 ( 1st March 2013) Dr Toby Halls GradDipPhys, PhD(PCL) Dr Toby Halls born in 1962 and graduated in 1985 from Polytechnic Associateship In Physiotherapy. Sheffield City Polytechnic England (with distinction) Did his Postgraduate Diploma In Manipulative Therapy (with distinction from Curtin University) in 1990 and his Masters in 1996 and Doctor Of Philosophy (Curtin University) He was awarded Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in 2007. Currently he is the Director of Manual Concepts – A business entity which was established and developed by Kim Robinson and himself. He is also principle lecturers for courses and clinical workshops conducted by Manual Concepts in Australia and many other countries. He has a string of publications to his name and has published books and book chapters. His special interest is in mobilisation and manipulations. He lectures in many university in Australia and is also Member of the International Advisory Board for Manual Therapy Journal and Associate-editor of the Journal of Manual & Manipulative Therapy DAY 2 ( 2ND March 2013)
