  2. fun facts • Caerlaverock is one of the few castles that are in a triangular shape • One of the greatest recorded military seigeshsppened there • Caerlaverock’s walls were two layers thick • It has two moats

  3. introduction Caerlaverock castle is in Scotland. It is there to protect the Scotland border from England. The land Caerlaverock is on is owned by the Maxwell clan. The land was given to the Maxwells by the king of Scotland. Right now it is in ruins.

  4. Sieges Caerlaverock was under many sieges in its time period. It is on the border so it was a huge target. It upset England’s plans to conquer Scotland. It would be come to no surprise that England launched a siege on Caerlaverock. It was the 60 men from Caerlaverockvs about 3000 men and twenty knights from England. The siege lasted about 2 days even though Caerlaverock lost it was still impresive. More sieges happened over the years caerlaverock was finally abandened in 1640.
