  4. Mainobjectives The proposed project is focused ontechnical assessment of innovative safetyimprovements and solutionsfor the ASTRID and ALLEGRO demonstrators.

  5. Topics • Experimental program for helium technologies (DHR in pressurized & depressurized conditions); • Validation of computer codes (neutronic and TH, improvements for library); • ALLEGRO safety evaluation (Defence-in-Depth, severe accident management); • Core safety improvement(MOX).

Mainobjectives • To define the design of the European nuclear cogeneration industrial demonstrator; • To get a consensus with European Safety Authorities / TSOs on the safety options of the demonstrator; • To endeavour selecting common design with the NGNP Industry Alliance in order to share the efforts, costsand risks of the project between Europe and the US.

  10. Topics • Main design options of HTGR for industrial cogeneration, • Safety requirements, • Componentsdesign & improvements (safety, flexibility and competitiveness), • Evaluation of European national licensing frameworks.
