Evolution of LIAMF: Advancements in Logic and Artificial Intelligence at USP

Established unofficially in 1992 and officially in 2000, the LIAMF (Laboratório de Inteligência Artificial e Métodos Formais) at the University of São Paulo, led by Flávio Soares Corrêa da Silva and colleagues, focuses on research and education in logic, artificial intelligence, and formal methods. LIAMF engages in consultancy for universities and government, oversees various MSc and PhD projects, and contributes to technology transfer in sectors such as aerospace, oil, and gaming. The lab is also involved in publishing and organizing academic events.
