  5. Usually women make the decor decisions, but the bed industry is now trying to target me with these innovated bed designs • The industry is looking to the “bigger is better” entertainment-system craze with the hope that the new man cave is the bed.

Since the economy is weak, the market for these luxury beds is obviously small. • Another problem is persuading women that these beds are necessary. • A standard queen size mattress is $800 • The male oriented luxury beds can be as much of $50,000. • The mattress for the luxury beds cost in the upper range at about $2,000 • These represent only 8% of the sales in 2008
