Job description/overview • Physician assistants does basic Care things Like interviewing patients, doing physical exams , and ordering lab test. • set up goals and general health plans for patients. They record patients' health history, progress, and test results. • PAs work in main care areas, such as family medicine, general practice, or pediatrics.

  3. WAGES • PAs Wages vary by specialty, such as surgery, emergency medicine, or family practice. • Physician assistants who work full time usually earn benefits. Benefits Like health insurance, sick leave, and paid vacation. • PAs in hospitals tend to earn higher wages than those who work in offices or clinics.

  4. SKILLS & ABILITIES • PAs Needs to Express ideas clearly when speaking or writing. • Understand new information or materials by studying and working with them. • Be aware of others' reactions and change behavior in relation to them.

  5. OUTLOOK • Doctors' offices and hospitals are expected to hire more PAs because they are paid less than physicians. • PAs also relieve physicians from some of the more routine duties and procedures. • Physician assistants work in all areas of the country. They are especially likely to work in small towns where the community may have a limited number of physicians.

  8. PHYSICAL DEMANDS • PAs Stand for long periods of time. • Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out. • Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath.

  9. WORK ACTIVITIES • Examine patients. • Supervise other staff. • Diagnose patients and determine treatment plans.
