Soccer Scholarship I've been playing soccer for so long that sometimes I wonder if the kicks my mom felt during her pregnancy were from my practice penalty shots within her womb. I had become so involved with the world of soccer, that when I made the decision to close that old chapter of my life, I was originally unsure of how to start writing the next page. It's been assumed since my middle school years that I'd compete at the college level, but that dream was put to rest when I realized that my most distinguished life goal was represented by hospital beds and stethoscopes, rather than a ratty pair of Nike cleats. Soccer's been nothing but good to me, providing those once–in–a–lifetime opportunities some may only dream of. From competing in nationwide tournaments,...show more content... I finally came to recognize that spending my life doing something that I find enjoyable needs to be replaced by something incredible, and in my eyes, inconceivable. One person, the doctor, is trusted enough by the patient to carve their way into this unknown body and explore their internal organs in an attempt to fix a medically induced complication. I know that by pursuing this career, I'll reach my goal of doing something that is going to benefit both myself and the surrounding community in a way only few can achieve. To help one who does not have the tools to help themselves provides me with an immeasurable amount of fulfillment, a state of mind which I've found impossible to come in contact with through sports. I can only look forward to the years to come, each day is one closer to achieving a reward fulfilling enough to last me for the rest of my life. I know that one day I will be the doctor examining a pregnant mother in search of the young girl practicing her penalty kicks against the side of the uterine ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...
FFA Scholarship Essay I have worked on my family farm ever since I was fourteen years old. This is where I have gained my love of agriculture. I have served on student council for three years and currently student council secretary. I have been a class officer for two years. FFA is an organization that has been really important to me throughout my high school career. In FFA, I have been the chapter president and secretary. I've had the chance to be on the Iowa FFA Program of Activities Committee. I have also received all of the possible degrees at the high school level. I have been involved in band and jazz band. I have been a student ambassador for three years. I am a two year letter winner in track. I have also been involved in my community while in high...show more content... I see myself going in many different directions, but how I get there is pretty clear. I am going to Iowa State University and major in Agricultural Business for the first four years after high school. I plan to maintain my high marks in college as I did in high school. During college I hope to take on internships at businesses that I may have a possible career at. One of my main goals when looking for a career after college is to find a job that is both challenging and allows me to make the biggest impact on agriculture I am capable of. It is important to me to do something that I love because that is how I know I will reach my greatest potential. While I may not know what the future holds for me and my career, I do know that I will be making positive influence on the world of agriculture and the lives around ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

My grandma, who was full of the wise the life experience left, always knew about my interest in movies. She feed my vain for the art. Even though her religion, she professed Adventist of seven–day religion, didn't let her go to the cinema, she always found the way to took me to the cinema. She and I enjoyed watch movies. I never stop thinking about being a film director. All these elements have given me a very broad outlook, with varying degrees of knowledge in a range of topics. I strongly believe that although some are not related directly, all these qualities will influence my graduate work. When the opportunity showed up I took it. I came to New York City to study film. But I have to start from the beginning. The first year I prepared to get my GED. In October 2001 I took the examination and I passed it. Now, the second step, how can I do to pay a college or a university? I started to work and I took editing courses in the School of Visual Art and NYU. I bought a digital camera and I learned how to used it. I started to work making digital videos for parties and events. I earned enough money to start my career. The CUNY advisor sent me to HOSTOS Community College because he told me that it would be easier for me to study there. Even though the major that I was interested in, wasn't in HOSTOS curriculum, I accepted but with the idea in my mind to changed to the college where film major was imparted. After three semesters in HOSTOS I transferred to Brooklyn College and I enrolled in the film program. I will be a ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...
Fine Arts Scholarship Essay I started at taking art classes in high school to explore how I might use art to change and shape the world around me and I started to learn the demands and possibilities of what art could do and what I could do. From fifth grade into my sophomore year college my mother had cancer and various types at that, and so 50% of my responsibilities were home and the other 50% were at school. I ended up missing school often, but I managed to graduate high school in three years so my mother could see me graduate because it was one of her dreams. After high school graduation, I quickly jumped into community college starting in the summer. In college, I had responsibilities at home but I found my self always thinking and making art. I started taking as...show more content... I want a damp forehead because I am working so hard, and I want to wake up with charcoal on my face because I had been up all night finishing an assignment. The major I want to pursue is Fine Arts because I cannot see myself doing anything else than wanting to make fine art. The fine arts program will allow me to intertwine the arts, and take classes I intend to accomplish and achieve knowledge that will help pursue my aspiration of being a working artist in today's world. Going into an area that may not have a very optimistic employment opportunities has put my friends and family on an edge but I can do this and I can do it well. I am setting out to learn what I do yet understand and fully believe this is what I am must to do. I have interest in subjects other than the fine arts as well. Acting, theatre, and music are other types of art that I can engage and emerge myself in, and find ways I can relate it to my artwork. Any new experience truly makes my art better. I am so excited to try to learn new ways of expressing and becoming skilled. Gaining the skills of global thinking, problem solving, communication and finding ways of how I can intertwine art. My Life Of A Scholarship Essay Throughout my childhood I dreamed of my future college adventures. I pictured myself receiving a full–ride to a major college because of my athletic ability and academic success. As the years progressed, I came to realize that earning a scholarship through sports wasn't nearly as easy as I had once believed. Luckily, I was able to grasp this idea early on in high school, and although I enjoyed athletics, I now understood that the likeliness of my future including sports was marginal. Due to the many conversations and support that I received from one of my teachers, I was able to come to peace with the fact that my varsity days would be over in a few short years. My teacher displayed his devotion to education by helping me come to terms with my future not encompassing sports, regardless of the fact that he was my head football coach. As a result of the recognition that my future would be based upon performance in the classroom, I was able to push myself to achieve new academic goals which eventually resulted in acceptance to SMU. Over the course of my time in school, I have been fortunate enough to have many wonderful teachers in class. A few weeks ago, our writing course was presented with a question that asked for one quality that every successful teacher must possess. Because of the number of excellent teachers I have had, it was difficult to pinpoint one characteristic ¬¬¬that distinguished itself among the others. After considering the attributes that my ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...
Dream Scholarship Essay I come from a small town and a family who hasn't always had luxurious things but has never went without the things we must have. For that I will forever be grateful. Watching my father and mother struggle to provide for my sisters and I strongly motivated me to want to earn a higher education. I hope to have a career that I both enjoy and that allows me to provide many things for myself and future family. I know that because of my family's financial stability this will not because easy. I have many goals in life, one of those being to become a dentist. I do not want to be just any dentist, I want to be a dentist for low income families so that more people are able to afford the proper dental care. To do so I have a long rigorous road ahead of me but I am not frightened by this. I have always strived to attended school and my desire to do so will only become stronger as I get older. I love learning because while one might not always have a lot in life, if you have knowledge, there are no limits. I have always believed that knowledge is power and not only will getting a higher...show more content... When students think about going to college of course the first thing they think of is the cost. However, I am not going to just any college, I am going to a private all women's college, not because I want to but because I need to. Meredith College is the best fit for me for so many reasons. One of those reasons being that they offer a pre–dental program that other public universities do not. Paying for a private college is already going to be hard for my family and I not to mention paying for dental school after I graduate undergrad school. I have applied to many scholarships and already received quite a few but I am still far from reaching my goal of being able to comfortably pay for my college ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...
