This comprehensive study addresses critical aspects of snake conservation in China, divided into four parts. Part 1 examines the current status of wild snake populations, assessing their distribution, threats, and conservation needs. Part 2 explores the utilization and captive breeding of snakes, highlighting both the ecological and economic implications. Part 3 discusses the management strategies required for effective conservation, while Part 4 outlines the next steps essential for sustainable snake management. This work aims to promote awareness and action towards preserving China’s serpentine biodiversity.
