My father died when he was 59 years old. • My mother outlived him for about twenty years. • She insisted to live alone in her home.
She refused to live with any of her children. She said: “I am not living alone, God is with me”.
During these twenty years , she used to start her day by reading the Bible and singing. • She attended all the Church meetings that she could find transportation to. • She was expert in “Crocheting”. • She donated all her work to Church fund raising.
Every evening she used to turn on her radio to “Soat El-Ingeel”. • This is an Arabic radio broadcast that is transmitted from Mont Carlo, Monaco. • The program which is still going on, are hymns, Bible readings and short sermons.
Psalm 119:103How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Jeremiah 15:16 16 When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, O LORD God Almighty.
Her grandchildren knew her connection with God. They used to ask her to lit candles and pray for them before their exams.
Mark 11:24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
She used to say: “I am praying to God that I die and the dust of the ground on my shoes”. • God answered her prayers. • She died in her sleep without any disease.
