Famille KABISSEKELA , Pasteur a TOURNAI en Belgique Dear friends, we are really touched by the death of our BROTHER who was very appreciated among us. HE has preceded us in going to our Heavenly DADDY. I shared a room with him in HOLLAND and we had good times. God bless all the family in JESUS CHRIST. Family KABISSEKELA, Pasteur from TOURNAI, Belgium.

  6. Luuk & Janny Nieman 14-6-2008 We have dear thoughts of our brother, Holger Nystedt. His friendly smile and his warm personality made Finland alive for us in such a way that we agreed to come to his country in the spring/March of 2009. I still remember how he was talking about the banking business of his family in Holland. We will remember him with love and warm feelings. May God bless his family and all the other people who miss him dearly. Family H. Luuk Nieman, Janny Nieman Tees

  7. Paul and Vicki Haugtvedt We are so sorry for your loss. We enjoyed knowing Holger. He always talked warmly to us about Jesus, and his children and grandchildren. A man speaks out of his heart, and we could see his heart was totally given to Jesus, and to his family. We are so glad to have known Holger. God bless you, our friends. Sincerely, Paul and Vicki Haugtvedt (Buchs, Switzerland) June, 2008 Berlin, Germany

  8. Bryan Doyle I recall Holger with great fondness, he struck me as a man with such a teachable open spirit, gracious and wise - a sweet and precious man... we discussed at length the needs of the 21st century church, he was so open and responsive to a new generation of leadership, he longed to see the kingdom advance with all his heart. Sad for his loss but grateful I met such a godly man! Bryan DoyleMinister of Missional Living, First Baptist Church, McKinney, Texas USAformer Senior Pastor,Stopsley Baptist Church, Luton, England It is with great joy I recall my conversations with Holger. I secretly thought, "Boy, I hope I have the same passion and grace that this man has when I reach his age" For a man seasoned in life I was so struck by his heart for his nation and his love for the emerging generation. He remained teachable. Such a rarity. Our pleasantries soon turned to "how can we work together" and "when can you come?" Redeeming the time seemed the right way to do life. Holger unquestionably leaves a precious legacy for the kingdom. He is missed by his friends here in IC and his precious nation, Finland.

  10. Janice & Jerry Byrd Every time I talked with Holger, whether in Finland or at our Western European Workshop, he would ask me to help the youth. Holger was our oldest European leader, but no cared more for the young people than he! Janice Byrd

  13. Edwin & Silvia Caruana We did not know Holger very well although we met him several times in the International Commission meetings. The last time we met in Holland, Holger approached us to ask if we can put a team together for Finland. We were very interested, as to the Maltese people Finland is “Father Christmas country” with lots of snow! It is unfortunate that this did not materialize but my prayer is that we can work with the next IC representative and bring a team to Finland in honor of our dear brother Holger. Edwin and Sylvia Caruana, Malta

  14. Markus Bossert About Holger: He was a very kind and friendly person. I remember the last night in Heemskerk. I sat next to him and he told us so many interesting things about his life. Things I would never have expected. How he worked for the Seaman's-Mission in LA. How this was one of the best times in his life. He told us about his family, that most them (or even all?) are very dedicated Christians. He was a man with a very cheerful spirit although he had to go through many hard times in life. He was always willing to serve and provide possibilities for outreaches to Finland. It is a great blessing for me, that I had the opportunity to know this great Christian man. Markus Bossert
